Browns finally signing Quinshon Judkins to rookie contract

The deal is finally done for Quidshon Judkins

Cleveland’s second-round pick, Quinshon Judkins, has agreed to a four-year rookie deal worth $11.4 million, with the full amount guaranteed. Despite finalizing his contract, the rookie running back is not expected to suit up for Sunday’s season opener against the Bengals.

Judkins faced legal trouble in July when he was arrested on a domestic violence-related charge. After reviewing the case, Florida prosecutors decided not to move forward, citing a low likelihood of conviction. While the charges were dropped, Judkins still remains under review by the NFL, which could issue discipline under its personal conduct policy.

In the meantime, the Browns are expected to receive a temporary roster exemption for the 21-year-old. This move, which is standard for players who miss training camp, will allow Judkins to begin practicing with the team while adjusting to the league.

Judkins enters the NFL after a standout season at Ohio State, where he rushed for 1,060 yards and played a pivotal role in helping the Buckeyes win the 2024 national championship. Cleveland selected him 36th overall in April, with expectations that he will eventually become a key piece of their backfield.
