2026 Draft Order: Top 24 Almost Set

Wild Card weekend reshuffled the 2026 NFL Draft board, and the first 24 picks are nearly finalized. One remaining result can still shift a couple slots, while teams like Cleveland, Dallas, and the Jets are positioned with multiple early first-round picks.

#The top 24 is basically one game away

Wild Card weekend did most of the work, and now the first 24 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft are almost fully set. There’s only one matchup left that can still cause movement inside that range — and after that, the board is essentially locked.

#Wild Card weekend reshaped the board

A few playoff teams got eliminated early, including the Panthers, Packers, Chargers, Eagles, and Jaguars. Some of them don’t still own their original first-round pick, but their losses still triggered important changes to the order.

Two big outcomes came out of the weekend:

  • Dallas officially secured a top-20 pick thanks to Green Bay’s loss (that selection was acquired in the Micah Parsons deal).
  • Jacksonville getting knocked out helped Cleveland, giving the Browns two picks inside the top 24 — one of those firsts came from the Travis Hunter trade.

#The one result that still matters

The final confirmation for the top 24 comes down to Texans vs. Steelers.

Here’s what changes depending on the outcome:

  • If Pittsburgh loses, the Steelers stay slotted at No. 21.
  • If Houston loses, the Texans slide to No. 23, and the Chargers and Eagles would each move up one spot.

Either way, Jacksonville’s pick being sent to Cleveland won’t change.

#Teams sitting on multiple early first-round picks

Three teams are set up with multiple shots inside the top 24:

  • Cleveland owns No. 6 and No. 24, including the extra first from the Travis Hunter trade.
  • Dallas has two picks in the top 20, with one coming from the Micah Parsons deal.
  • New York Jets currently hold No. 2 and No. 16, with the second pick acquired in the Sauce Gardner trade with Indianapolis.

The Rams also hold multiple first-rounders due to a 2025 draft-day deal with Atlanta, but one of their final positions won’t be fully locked until their postseason run ends.

#What gets confirmed next

After the divisional round, picks 25–28 are finalized. Conference championship losers select 29 and 30. The Super Bowl loser picks 31, and the champion closes it out at 32.
