Bengals listening to trade offers for pass rusher Trey Hendrickson

The Bengals are open to trade discussions for four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Trey Hendrickson after contract negotiations reached a stalemate, according to NFL Network.

Any deal is expected to come at a steep cost, likely involving both a young player and a future draft pick, which would make sense for a contender looking to boost its pass rush ahead of the postseason.

Hendrickson was previously granted permission to explore trade options in March, though nothing materialized at the time. He reported to training camp rather than holding out, choosing to minimize distractions. Despite his professionalism, his future in Cincinnati remains uncertain.

The veteran has been one of the league’s most dominant defensive ends since arriving with the Bengals. He has 77 career sacks, including back-to-back 17.5-sack seasons, two forced fumbles, 46 tackles, and six passes defensed last year. That production earned him first-team All-Pro honors and a runner-up finish in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Hendrickson is seeking a contract in line with the league’s top pass rushers. Since the offseason began, several of his peers have landed massive deals, including Maxx Crosby, Danielle Hunter, Myles Garrett, and T.J. Watt, the latter setting the bar with a record $41 million per year. Cincinnati, meanwhile, has yet to meet Hendrickson’s demands, fueling the current standoff.
